@joshu Yes, sorry for guessing, CT only relates to the internally interpolated commands (sometimes such settings may still have side effects). Maybe back then they did not implement clever path planning and instead just slowed down the feed rate for curvatures below a fixed threshold.
@joshu If the segments are long enough everywhere (1mm is definitely enough), it may also just be a result of accuracy setting (CT) and the acceleration constraint.
@joshu I’d assume it attempts to go as fast as with the long line segment all the time, but has to slow down to process the commands in time.
Experienced this phenomenon, at least with other CNC machines.
