@PutoML @NLScavenger 2- 20 CD version so should have a correct bass level. Not sure what the dub studio got & why they decided to rebuild the 51 mix to be mostly worse. Ideally you would start by combining EN & JP mixes, then add DSP & ML.

@PutoML @NLScavenger 1- I believe it is due to the inconsistent mix & bass management/monitoring practices btw studios. The EN track has songs upscaled to 51 by panning it back. The JP track is a discrete 51 mix.The only version which is not bass-managed would be the

@NLScavenger @Konanne2 NB: Not all 51 is made equal. Nausicaa & KIKI, 80% of dubs were 10/20. So any 51 mixes, surprise, aren't worth much more than 10/20. But are useful as a source for further editing.

NGE (TV) EN ADV 51 is prolly OK, haven't looked in years. CCS JP 51 has flaws, but is worth 51.
