Like i said until this past incident i was never someone who had any issues of this sort, so it really can happen to anyone at any time even people who generally dont have health limitations like that, and not being able to contact the person youre with in that situation can be scary.
And they were very kind and came to help me. Doesnt change the fact that i would have had no way to contact my friend had she not been there. I hope you never find yourself about to faint in the middle of thousands in an arena concourse with no phone to contact family or check your heart rate bc it was scary as hell
And thats fine if she wants to do that, my only point not health related being concert tickets are a lot more expensive than they used to be and for ME personally, its why i like to video concerts of my fave artists so I really feel like I can remember a fun event i spent multiple hundreds of dollars on
Im almost 30… i lived the first 10 years of my life with no smartphones. Im fully capable of going without my phone and am an avid theatregoer and always fully turn off my phone. my only point was that in that situation if my friend hadn’t been nearby, it would have been a much larger to do for security to find her than just texting or calling. Like i said im not against the no phones thing in theory, but there are lots of valid reasons why people may be nervous about it. I for one wasn’t nervous about it at all until this situation happened to me
I had a near medical emergency (with no medical history) in the concourse at msg and was just lucky i hadnt yet split from my friend who i was with to get food! Idk how i would have contacted her if she wasnt with me. After that experience im anxious to do another show w no phones
@hantalkstaylor I feel like they should have been locking phones in the pouches when entering and exiting your section. Like if my friend and i split up on the concourse to get food how do we meet back up without wandering and scanning a crowd of thousands lol
@sourtourtickets@harborgenius Yeah :( luckily msg staff was so nice and i was fine after a few mins but i literally couldnt even tell my family what happened until after the show
@sourtourtickets@harborgenius The way i actually had a near medical emergency in the middle of the MSG concourse last night and no phone to contact anyone. Thank god the person i was with is a friend of 20+ years and was with me when it happened and got msg staff to call an emt to make sure i was good
