Satellite imagery from @Planet from today shows the extent of the apparent Arakan Army arson attack on Buthidaung, and allows rough mapping.
Approximately 53 acres was burnt last night.
Much larger areas have also been burnt in outlying villages (thus far unmapped).
An additional 144 acres were burnt in April by the junta and affiliated Rohingya militias.
The Rohingya village of Maw Ni Bill/Oe Thei in Buthidaung township being burnt this afternoon by Arakan Army troops, captured in satellite imagery by @Planet.
Unacceptable crimes against humanity continuing a cycle of genocidal pograms against Rohinga citizens of Arakan.
@TwanMrat, the Arakan Army's violent crimes are unacceptable. Replacing one genocidal dictator with another does not do the world (and certainly not Rohingya citizens of Myanmar) any good whatsoever.
🚨@FortifyRights has documented the Myanmar junta’s ongoing confinement and restriction on lifesaving aid for over half a million Rohingya & Kaman Muslims in Rakhine. 🇲🇲
@Curly_friess, @FortifyRights urges ICC member states to hold the junta accountable.
