Technically it takes more than 3 hours to do this, which costs at least $200 on labor, you may use the same amount to buy couple same gears
This is stupid for multiple reasons:
1. The repair is temporary, it will not be as strong as the original
2. Most gears need to be more exact than you can get it with this method or it will cause more damage
3. The amount of money you lose from the hours this will take you is more then what you would pay for a new gear
