More ties would add an element of strategy regarding playoff qualification & deciding between PATs or a 2 pt conversions at the end of a game.

I think the #nfl should do away with regular season overtime altogether. Less chance for tired players to get injured, especially with the longer season.
Then, in the playoffs, adopt the college system of short range drives for each team.

I finished Neal Stephenson's Fall. Whoa. Is it possible to be simultaneously impressed AND disappointed? Because that's how I'm feeling. Impressed at the scope of the tale, and disappointed that the book didn't do what its antagonist set out to do - namely, something different.
