@theeDJAnderson@TNLUK Yep, same here after 20+ years of Direct Debit, cancelled when I retired a couple of months ago. Never won more that £30, mostly like your ‘prize’. Now I spend the £20 on something more enjoyable like coffee!
@TripeUK Yep, that’s what tipped it over for us, my then wife worked as a dresser for new houses, the arse fell out of the market around 1991 and she lost her job I think, then we had the crazy interest rates, you would get a few letters saying the rate had gone up again.
@rawespresso Not sure I see your point, I bought a renovation project in 2005, paid around £240k with high LTV, sold 18 years later for £640k and that allowed me buy another downsize property outright, BTW for various reasons most of the loan was always interest only.
@JordanEVGuy Sorry but that’s not my experience, on the occasions we have had to use public charging the costs are crazy, 79p per KwH a couple of days ago in Peterborough, and same price at a BP service station, I know there are subscriptions to reduce the cost but nothing near my home at 7p!
@AaronBastani He should fight harder for a decent budget instead of following the ‘I told you so’ narrative, also using something that brings together all of the data together is a good thing but need to be managed exceptionally well for it to work for security
@F1_God_Fan@SkySportsF1@MBrundleF1 F1 lost its shine for me years ago, I can’t watch any races unless I pay, I give a few episodes of Netflix F1 ‘Drive’ then give up as this has been sanitised like the rest of F1. My best memories are the Hill/Scumacher days when I used to get up early to watch the Australian GP
@_shelbie97 To be honest I’m not a fan anymore, I used to get up early to watch the Australian GP in the Schumacher/ Hill days not any more, the carefully managed sponsorship deals, drivers not really saying what they feel, it’s too stage managed for me now, and the tinkering with racing!
