Challenge: #Scratchbuild a mechanised #Orks army from junk (+a few Boyz) for #40k. + crafting with my kids.
Unrepentant cheerleader of other people's painting
I made a video explaining who the Draugr of #Norse Mythology are.
I explain in under 5 minutes how they're intelligent, super powered zombie vampire revenants who can shape shift, control weather and much more.
Yes, I've been playing too much #Skyrim

@JakeTAAG @zelina_fae @Finbars9@ManyATrueNerd Ah yes, the perfect moving forward strategy. Also known as the close your eyes and hope it goes away approach.
You know that the vaccine has be shown to be effective, but is not 100% effective. So, again, you're just fishing
Snorri Sturluson has to be one of the most interesting people ever
Lawspeaker, richest man in the country, Baron of Norway, arguably the saviour of Iceland, arguably selling Iceland out twice, nephew who was his nemesis
It's game of thrones level stuff

Had my first covid jab on Saturday. The AZ Oxford one.
Side effects yesterday: whole body ached.
Side effect today: headache
Main effect: not dying of covid.
100% worth the side effects
@Leeroybrownhu9 That's awesome!
I swear there's not a week that goes past without me cursing the fact my mother gave my collection of transformers away as a kid!
@wartrader @dogma2097 I was 38 for 2 years
Not because I was lying about my age, my Mrs told me I'd got my age wrong about being 37, and I believed her (I frequently forget). It was only when I was filling in my DoB on something I realised her mistake, just before I really turned 38!
40 next year.
Just in case you think I'm going crazy (as it sounds bizarre), it was in Vampires and Watchmen: Categorising the Icelandic Undead by Armann Jacobson

(I'm mostly including this in the hope I don't sound inappropriate and random)
@Bradalads whilst I follow you for hobby reasons, I actually have a Norse question, if that's ok.
I read in an academic paper the best way to deal with Draugr is cutting off its head & placing its head by it's bum.
It only referred to Iceland tho. Was this common in Norse myth?
Apologies if this isn't something you dealt with, it's just something I'm reading about, happened upon you again for hobby reasons and wondered if you knew if it was Icelandic sagas only or more widespread
Either way, keep up the hobby stuff, I'm a big fan :)
