We’ve received the Show Cause Order on overpriced taxi fares at MCIA.
As a Filipino and Cebuano, this hits hard. What was seen in Choi Soobin’s vlog isn’t new—we’ve experienced it too.
Fuel costs may rise, but the distance doesn’t justify the fare.
Cebu can do better.

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has issued a show cause order against the operator of a taxi allegedly involved in an overcharging incident with K-pop star Soobin in Cebu City.
According to the LTFRB, the taxi unit has been suspended for 30 days following initial findings of overcharging and deliberate non-use of the taxi meter.
The operator was also ordered to explain why its franchise should not be revoked, with a hearing set on April 21.
“Hindi ito ugali ng Pilipino, ugali ito ng mga walang hiya. At huwag ninyong idadahilan ang kahirapan dito dahil napakaraming kababayan natin na lumalaban nang patas at hindi nanggugulang ng kapwa,” LTFRB Chairperson Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza said.
