@DefenderOfBasic@AbstractFairy Also, I think you’d really enjoy the podcast The Way Out Is In. This is an episode that talks about meditation—what is, what it isn’t, the many forms, and how most people would benefit from starting with a form that is *not* the sitting form of meditation. https://t.co/7bKYBS0XPi
@DefenderOfBasic@AbstractFairy 👋🏻 Here via your Substack post, Defender. I’m curious if you two have a different perspective, but I think the distinction between mindfulness (IMO, what you’re describing in this thread) and meditation is worth noting.
@kaitlancollins@JohnMillerCNN The guy in this photo does not look like the guy in the other unmasked photo they're showing on TV. Different nose and chin. I think they have photos of two different people.
“Every minute that goes by that is spent fretting over Joe Biden’s emotional state rather than how to move forward with a candidate who is able to defeat Donald Trump is a betrayal of everyone who came together in 2020 to make his presidency happen.”
“It is past time for all this to end. The melodrama has gone on far too long. President Biden should pass the torch, do everything in his power to help his successor finish the job…Anyone not dedicating all to that end is doing a disservice to all of us.” https://t.co/R0Y0yBPSjz
I am hearing reports of some airlines only offering flight credits to passengers for cancelled flights. Let me be clear — you are entitled to get your money back promptly if your flight is cancelled and you don't take a rebooking.
Notice how it’s always “the Bible must inform our laws!” until it comes to welcoming the immigrant, helping the poor, feeding the hungry, bringing healthcare to the sick, forgiving debts, caring for our planet, laying down our swords, or loving our neighbors.
Have you flown with a budget airline recently? If so, I'd love to get your input on project. A short survey is live until 7p MT / 10p ET today. From the survey, you can opt into a 30-minute session on Tues or Thurs. Monetary incentives included. 🤑 Pls RT.

@pdxmeredith @DrSamiSchalk Interesting about the coat! Which tier of Purina were you using previously? We were using Taste of the Wild (and similar) but switched to Purina Pro because they have at least one veterinary nutritionist on full-time staff.
@AnneMur11760603@pdxmeredith @DrSamiSchalk Yes, at least one study showed grain-free food is linked to idiopathic cardiomyopathy. (Glad to get a link from my wife if you’re curious.) But there are limited-ingredient options that have non-wheat grains. (We have 3 dogs, 5 cats, and my wife is a clinical researcher.)
@DrSamiSchalk I read something at one point that you should never scrimp on what comes between you and the ground, like shoes, mattresses, and tires. And I'm with you on premium dairy!
@DrSamiSchalk @Needle_of_Arya Socks for exercise, tbh.
Once I discovered wool wicks away moisture and inhibits odors I have not gone back to cotton.
@Smartwool is my long time favorite. This year I’m ordering a pair of @DarnTough bc they they’re made here in the US and have a lifetime warranty.
@DrSamiSchalk Footwear - no matter how poor I was in my early 20s I always made sure to buy good shoes.
High quality dog food (I feed raw - but a good kibble is fine) for dog owners will absolutely save you vet trips and lengthen a dog's life/quality
