From reading ‘How to be an Anti-racist” by Ibram X. Kendo I have learned educating my peers is not enough to end racism, but implimenting new policies and policy makers are what will make a change. #COM384@LisaBrockTpa
#HowToBeAnAntiracist has begun to open my eyes to the racism in our history that I once never acknowledged. We must educate the next generations of leaders. @LisaBrockTpa#COM384
“Racist ideas have defined our society since it’s beginning and can feel so natural..but antiracist ideas remain difficult to comprehend, in part because they go against the flow of this country’s history” #HowToBeAnAntiracist#COM384
@DrIbram discusses the discomfort being an antiracist can feel from the norm our American history has presented us with. To break this norm he emphasizes that with self awareness we have to break the silence of racism to start a change in generation to come. #COM384

Interesting release on how McDonalds recently fired their CEO for having a relationship with an employee. This PR release shows how a multi-million dollar company handled a tough situation responsibly and effectively. #COM284UT
@CaelaDaly @ligova I agree, but also I feel like when I see on Instagram or YouTube that it's a sponsor or brand deal I feel like as if they don't actually use the product day to day, just for the post/video to make money from it.
@ligova No, because you want their advertisement of your product to sound real and not like they are just saying nice things about it because they are getting paid to.
@BelkaMegan @ligova These are all so true! Avoiding conflict is difficult, but as long as you are always encouraging others and staying positive and honest your customers should value you and your company.
@ligova Trust is important to have in any relationship in life. When you lose trust it is hard to gain it back, but if the customer is willing to give your company another chance it is extremely important to show them how much you value them and don't want to lose them as a client.
@mattgro67076826@ligova I agree! It's difficult when it comes to choosing what to do in PR ethics but as long as you maintain a happy balance of protecting your clients and still maintaining your own companies ethics that is good.
@Olivia89775710@ligova I agree, I think creating some sort of very broad code could work best with some large companies that differentiate from one another. And then off of that broad code of conduct they could create a more personalized one.
@ligova I think that there should be a universal code of conduct. It is important for employees to know the ethics of the companies they are working for and to have a set guideline of what is acceptable and what is not.
@ligova When dealing with a dilemma in any profession it is always important to be honest and reliable with your statements to the public. This is especially true with PR professions to make the company look trustworthy.

The last exhibit we viewed was the flag exhibit. These eye catching, beautifully crafted flags were made with 2,000-3,000 sequences each!! #COM284UT#wow
The 2nd to last exhibit we looked at was these two pieces photographed below. These pieces were done by Jean-Michel Basquiat, which he called them, “One Master Artist / Two Masterpieces. “ #COM284UT#unique#storytelling
