@LadyLaurk @RushiXmakima Most men take that too literally and its a lesson no different in schools or office meetings (same applys to men) wait till the service is over then speak!.
@StarrtoonArt You are valid to hold your theological position!. But the guys question does seem to prove something... didn't the catholic church made the bible tho?, so if it comes to better understanding on a theological matter wouldn't the catholics have a better answer based on authority?
Oh you want Scriptural support for Marian Veneration?
I was hoping you’d ask.
Mary is prophesied way back in Genesis and the OT as the Theotokos (not your errant and heretical Christotokos) and it all unfolds from there.
Our Lady was central to God’s plan of Salvation from the start.
Please consider this fraternal correction in charity and reference the two Scriptural Prayers to Our Lady at the end:
(A) Marian Typology in the Old Testament
⁃Genesis 3:15 “I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed, she shall crush thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel.”
⁃1 Kings 2:19-20 (Solomon institutes office of Queen Mother)
⁃Psalms 45:9 “at your right hand stands the queen in gold at Ophir”
⁃Psalms 45:13 “the daughter of the king . . . with gold woven robes”
⁃Isaiah 7:14 “a virgin shall conceive and bear a son”
⁃Luke 1 (compares Mary with the Ark of the Covenant - verse 35 with Numbers 9:15, verse 44 with 2 Samuel 6:14, verse 43 with 2 Samuel 6:9, verse 56 with 2 Samuel 6:11)
(B) Mary Hailed as “Mother of Our Lord”
⁃Matthew 1:23 “virgin shall . . . bear a son . . . shall be called “Emmanuel””
⁃Luke 1:35 “child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God”
⁃Luke 1:43 “the mother of my Lord”
⁃Galatians 4:4 “God sent forth His Son, born of woman”
⁃John 19:27 “Behold your mother.”
(C) Mary As Intercessor vs
⁃John 2:1 (IHS works Miracle at Cana at Mary’s request)
⁃See also Acts 1:14; 1 Timothy 4:16; Hebrews 4:16
(D) Marian Assumption prefigured in OT and supported in NT
⁃Genesis 5:23-24 (Mary’s Assumption prefigured through Enoch’s assumption)
⁃Apocalypse of Saint John 12:1-12 (Woman in Heaven clothed with the sun, the moon under her feet, wearing a crown of twelve stars)
(E) Mary’s Uniqueness in Creation
⁃Genesis 3:15 (Total opposition to satan)
⁃Luke 1:28 “Hail, full of Grace”
⁃Luke 1:42 “blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb”
⁃Luke 1:48 “behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed”
⁃Luke 2:34-35 “ 34 And Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary his mother: Behold this child is set for the fall, and for the resurrection of many in Israel, and for a sign which shall be contradicted; 35 And thy own soul a sword shall pierce, that, out of many hearts, thoughts may be revealed.”
(F) Ave
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee (Luke 1:28).
Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus (Luke 1:42).
Holy Mary, Mother of God (Luke 1:43), pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death (Jas. 5:16, Apoc. 5:8, 8:3-4).
Amen.
(G) The Magnificat (Luke 1:46-55):
My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed:
the Almighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his Name.
He has mercy on those who fear him
in every generation.
He has shown the strength of his arm,
he has scattered the proud in their conceit.
He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,
and has lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things,
and the rich he has sent away empty.
He has come to the help of his servant Israel
for he has remembered his promise of mercy,
the promise he made to our fathers,
to Abraham and his children forever.
Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever.
Amen.

@LadyLaurk Kkk is a bad taste argument which shame on him, but i think point he was trying to say is ever since the reformation and years later we have different brands of Christianity have their own truth that it confuses actual source to back it up then to just throw bible verse around...
@HGGamer934@LadyLaurk Catholics do not worship Mary in any form. Prayer is not worship. It is asking something. Asking Mary and the Saints to pray for us is no different that asking friends or family to pray for you.
God commands us to Honor our Father and Mother, not worship. Same applys to mary
@StarrtoonArt@HonorTruth2023 My cousin used to fear pregnancy and childbirth but her husband helped her get over her fears and worry. I feel if you have a husband like that to help around the responsibility and make raising a kid less a burden then maybe the phobia would go away perhaps?. Some people change
