@LouieKerr8 Actually it did happen once when they were testing a new blood pressure medication and the male test subjects did not want to return the unused amounts. It seems it's side effects were better that it's original purpose and it got renamed and sold as Viragra.
@DLCampanile I was horrified by the canned stuff, so I started making my own jam style with butter, brown sugar and orange juice. Sometimes with walnuts for a little texture and flavor. Have made converts of the canned fans and even a few that wouldn't touch any form.
@Bigmilez7 One of the best series ever on television. The dead pan humor delivered in the style of the sixties and seventies police dramas was perfect. Had me paralyzed with laughter every week that summer.
@marclanders Anecdotally, I would say this is not valid. Everyone I know that continued to smoke weed eventually became less intelligent, the condition we called being "burned out" when talking about our old smoking friends at reunions. There seems to be a tipping point at the very least.
@teameffujoe The "hurty words" laws were well on their way through the legislature here in the states as well under the Biden administration's "woke" agenda. Don't think they haven't been trying to push that crap here, just harder to do. We have to defend our rights before they steal them.
@martytaka777 Antisemitism is just focused envy. It will happen to any minority group that does well and is easy to identify. An observation I wish I didn't have to make but have seen it all my life.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture has announced a massive meat recall on more than 1.5 million pounds of hot dogs, deli meat, bacon, bratwurst, and more. https://t.co/BFLe8iSiN6
A U.S. congressman wants to change how we legally “own” video games.
Rep. Ritchie Torres has announced plans to introduce the Power To The Players Act, a bill that would direct the FTC to create rules protecting consumers who buy video games.
The proposal would give players three basic rights:
>The right to own the games they purchase, rather than simply receiving a revocable license
>The right to keep playing games after online servers are shut down, through an offline mode
>The right to transfer or resell games they own
Torres argues that if a company can take a game away simply by shutting down its servers, then the consumer didn’t really buy the game in the first place.
Torres also hopes the legislation could eventually establish a precedent for ownership rights across other parts of the digital economy:
“If you pay for it, you own it.”
@KyleJamesOlson@TSLA_Bitcoin I think they mentioned ten thousand PSI, it would be and instant death anywhere near a tank failure. Fun to look at, I'll watch from way over there, thank you.
@_joshpray Man, you have made my day! I have witnessed this very thing and your description is perfect. The memories of this cultural experience is wonderful and my hearing has almost recovered.
