“I’m excited too to see what kind of chemistry JOSHUA and I will create beyond just our visuals.”

Q: We heard that you’re planning to form a new unit with JOSHUA in October. The two of you also appeared together on an ELLE cover exactly three years ago. What kind of unit do you think it will be?

😇: I remember that ELLE cover with JOSHUA. I think the first thing people will notice is how well we match visually (laughs). But beyond that, I think people will also feel that we’re a really great fit in terms of our musicality and chemistry.

When it comes to the music, I plan to follow JOSHUA’s lead. We’re still constantly working on new material, and I was in the recording studio just yesterday. Since we’re right in the middle of preparations, even I don’t know exactly how everything will turn out yet. But I’m sure we’ll end up with songs that are both fun and wonderful.

Of course, there’s the balance we have visually, but I’m also excited to see what kind of music will come from the two of us working together and what new chemistry we’ll be able to show. I hope everyone looks forward to that aspect and keeps an eye on us.

Q. When we think of Dokyeom, the first thing that comes to mind is his bright face that radiates positive energy.
⚔️: A lot of people probably think "Dokyeom must always be a happy virus", but actually, when I'm by myself, I'm not really that energetic (laughs)
But when I have people around me, I tend to be easily influenced by the atmosphere, so it's true that I laugh a lot. Lately, I've also been spending a lot of time laughing with the staff over little stories from our everyday lives and reminiscing about stories from the past.

Q. It's also very memorable how you kept smiling throughout the photoshoot.
⚔️: I'm happy to be able to have a photoshoot with Cartier, a brand I've always liked. Of course, I feel a bit nervous because this is a cover shoot, but I'm even more excited to see how this pictorial turns out, especially with all the beautiful watches and jewelries. I think that feeling of excitement was stronger than the nervousness.
