I’ll never understand the mindset of people who celebrate a championship by destroying the very city they claim to love.

The New York Knicks finally won their first NBA title in 53 years last night - a moment generations of fans have waited for. Instead of simply celebrating, some people were arrested after incidents involving vandalized vehicles, damaged property, fires, and clashes with police in Manhattan.

Cheer. Party. Sing in the streets. Enjoy the moment.

But smashing windows, damaging buses, setting fires, and destroying public or private property doesn’t make you a passionate fan. It makes you an a’hole.

We have serious issues as a society…

According to a witness, Metcalf then grabbed Anthony to move him out of the tent.
Another witness in the Frisco Police Arrest Report stated "Austin and Anthony went back and forth and then Austin stood up and pushed Anthony to get him out of the tent". In response, Anthony pulled out a knife from the backpack and stabbed Metcalf once in the chest before running away (like a little b*tch).
Self defense from a shove is a shove back or a fist to the mouth, not a knife in the chest.

A quick civics lesson.

Jury selection isn’t about stacking the deck for one side or the other.

The prosecution AND defense are both looking for jurors they believe can fairly evaluate the evidence through the lens of their respective cases.

Combined, THEY choose the jury.

The prosecution wants people who can follow the law & hold someone accountable if the evidence proves guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. The defense wants people who will honor the presumption of innocence & require the government to meet that burden.

Neither side is choosing a verdict. They’re identifying biases, experiences & perspectives that might prevent a juror from being fair.

Jury selection isn’t persecution. It isn’t protection. It’s the process of building a jury capable of delivering justice.

@WWE has some significant issues for certain. Perhaps it’s pro wrestling as a whole.

This may piss some people off. I hope it does, because I’m pissed & the people who coddle this sh*t are a huge part of the problem in our country.

“Takeover” events. They are becoming an EVERYWHERE problem.

Malls.
Downtown districts.
Family destination spots – beaches & boardwalks – that people work all year to enjoy.

All are increasingly turning into crowd-control operations because of groups showing up with zero respect for anyone around them.

Before everyone rushes to the comments to explain it away, excuse it, or blame literally anything else, the issues are sitting right in front of us. Accountability has become a dirty word. Discipline is treated as outdated. Too many people have been taught that every action has a justifiable excuse & every consequence is somehow unfair.

People try to enjoy a night out after a stressful week.
People save money all year to take their families somewhere, walk a boardwalk, grab pizza or ice cream, let their kids run around & make memories.

Instead, places are getting jacked up by assh*les looking for attention, chaos & their next viral social media clip.

Nobody should need a police escort just to enjoy a night out or some time in a coastal town.

People keep acting like this is normal, or "just kids being kids."

It isn't.
Period. Hard stop.
