@5dragons@AmazingNature00 The Big Beautiful Obituary will be one of the most important developments in our time for ecology. It will come soon, although not soon enough to prevent further damage being added to what is already an incredible list.
@BillBrooks4440@AmazingNature00 I have. Your refusal to accept this also implies that YOU have seen every single-stem tree on earth, if you can deny that this is the largest. You must not know a single thing for certain, because you have not witnessed every possible refutation. π
@Kdawgthegreat69@archeohistories Recorded history only dates back a few thousand years, so I'm sorry you can't comprehend time scales of millions of years. The universe is under no obligation to make sense to you, and science is true whether you believe it or not.
@themrohiostate@archeohistories No, it was largely locked up in huge polar I e caps, with much more water tied up at high latitudes than today. Also, elevations rise and fall over millions of years based on geology. We've had an outsized impact, but a LOT can happen on long times scales.
@Bobwehadab86560@archeohistories It takes a real fool to think their 10th grade education taught them more about geology than 1000s of experts. Have you ever considered the possibility that no one concocted huge conspiracies to fool you about science, and you're just not that smart?
@CommotusStrix@archeohistories What I'm hearing is you don't understand geology or trust geologists who have spent their lives working in the field. Parts of western states that are at higher elevations now we're at lower elevations then, genius. This is well settled.
@Rainmaker1973 πππππππππππ Whether we can save lightning bugs, I don't know, but we need to do better and be good stewards of our Earth. If we lose honeybees the implications for us are incredibly bad, nevermind the rest of our world.
@Canal1point5@Rainmaker1973 Yes, this is VERY promising because it is direct evidence that was not confirmed before, but the results are preliminary and do not establish a workable treatment path in humans. This is big and reason for hope but it is very early.
@ivypoo25@Rainmaker1973 You're making a huge blind assumptions and jumping to conclusions. I hope it is easily preventable and curable, but this is but one preliminary study and it is not that simple. You can not easily just eliminate one or two types of bacteria while leaving others intact.
@I2cre880603@Rainmaker1973 It remains to be seen whether micro dosing produces similar changes in brain communication, or what dose is effective in that regard. Small, sub-psychedelic doses have hardly been studied.
@TheDDfiles@historyinmemes And yet it fails to take so much into account and never had a snowball's chance in hell of actually going anywhere - none, ever. It was wild and whimsical alright. My god that would have been expensive and difficult.
@Amanda46793604@Rainmaker1973 And this lack of understanding of basic science you are displaying is what causes epidemics and allows pandemics to unfold. Educate yourself, don't dismiss the science because you don't grasp it, or there'll be hell to pay later. Water has killed countless people, so ban that?
@ForumForThought@Rainmaker1973 Did you even read the part about a COVID infection being 10x more likely to cause myocarditis than the vaccine is? Jesus Christ, your logic is a disaster.
@Ball_spectator@Rainmaker1973 Yes! And of course you're 10x more likely to get myocarditis from COVID as from the vaccine, so why would this rare side effect stop you? Is getting it naturally better? Hell no.
@DrewECTS@Rainmaker1973 I think you don't know enough people, because most who were vaccinated are probably quite glad they didn't land in the ICU or end up dead due to bad COVID infections.
@DrewECTS@Rainmaker1973 Did you even read the part about myocarditis being more likely to be caused by a covid-19 infection than by the mrna vaccine? It might have potential side effects, but you are much more likely to suffer worse effects if you get very sick with covid. Vaccination still makes sense
@stephenasmith@cavs@nyknicks As always, fuck you, you've always been a moron and you're still a moron. Do you try to be that big of a jackass? If so you're killing it.
