Yesterday would have been our Katie's 15th birthday. It's been 4 months since our fur-baby passed away from bladder cancer.
Lynn and I put together a video of her life with us.

What was Dylan cease doing while I waited in the dugout to do our Blue Jays Central pregame chat? Putting on the finishing touches on his latest masterpiece… get this.. in his makeshift studio on the Blue Jays laundry room!
We chat about it tonight at 630p on Sportsnet!
@oldcanadaseries I was on vacation with my parents at that time. This happened either just before or just after we took the ferry from Vancouver to Victoria. I remember looking at a newspaper that had photos of the damage. 1970 - a long time ago.
@SNETCampbell Yes - it's been an amazing run this entire season. So many great memories. It's not over till it's over. Thanks for you're coverage of the team! Cheers
@Tablesalt13 I hate when he says, "stop looking for loopholes." If there are loopholes, then fix them. Don't create them, or leave them out there. Do your job as the government and fix them, and don't talk down to me like I'm a ten-year-old.
Ok, Canada. We have some hard truths to come to terms with, and not a long time to do so.
The veil is being lifted from our eyes, and what we see is frightening. Many choose not to look at it. Others, like myself, can't look away. We do not have the luxury of ignoring this. It requires immediate attention and swift actions.
I personally just don't believe in Canada anymore. I don't believe it's a country. It's more like a post national globalist district. A resource/labor colony for oligarchical interests.
I don't believe that we're citizens. We are more akin to debt ridden, indentured servants to the corporation that our once prosperous country has become.
I don't believe in our politicians they all seem like political constructs, sloppily regurgitating scripted rhetoric.
I don't believe in our westminister parliamentary system. It's all merely a performative charade to provide the peasentry with the illusion of participatory governance.
I don't believe we have rights. I believe, at best, we have state sponsored privileges, which can be revoked at the behest of the regime. We saw this during covid and again presently in regards to the unprecedented climate restrictions in Atlantic Canada. It's utterly draconian.
Though somehow, I do believe we will persevere. As dark as things look, they can change in a second. The awakening is occurring gradually, though we will reach a tipping point soon. Like raindrops falling into a vessel, eventually it fills. Inevitably, it overflows.
Canada might not exist anymore, but Canadians do. We were born free in a free country. We must stand up and declare emphatically, WE WILL NOT BE SUBJUGATED.
Be emboldened. Be defiant, and be steadfast in your resolve. God bless you all.
@RollingBones81@echipiuk@truckdriverpleb I assume(maybe incorrectly) that a ban on camping and other commercial activity(ie logging) would necessitate compensation?
@KeldenFormosa All for fire mitigation and such, but this seems way too much. In regard to logging and campgrounds, my guess is the province doesn't want to compensate for the loss revenue.
@KeldenFormosa Also, if I own, say, 100 acres and 50 are bush with a stream through it, and at some point in the past, I cut a trail to walk early in the morning. I can do that(sort of), but I can't take my grandchild on an early morning walk. 3/4
