cell phones aren’t druglike, they’re carlike. even if you consciously want to opt out, you can’t, because everyone expects you to have and use one to interact with society. i cannot even use the laundry machines in my building without being forced to use the laundry app.

Biological essentialism is not feminist. Boys are not born misogynistic or abusive. If a toddler is acting out sexually it’s a textbook warning sign they are being abused

[Rachel Clausen @RenContessa]

Most women work these days. That threat is meaningless now. Keep crying about it.

@maira4yo Absolutely culture and media related. Iranian kids all LOVE cucumbers and carrots. To the point parents have to stop them from eating half a kilo of it and getting diarrhea. American kids would never

[Maira @maira4yo]

100% convinced kids only pretend not to like vegetables because they're conditioned to feel that way by media

I DO NOT understand what billionaires think the final outcome of all this would be. If nobody has a living wage, they CANNOT buy your products, pay for your services or rent the properties being owned and hoarded. At that point, does the whole thing not just collapse?

[Christianity On The Spectrum @ChristianityOn]

Actually, a lot of us do struggle with social cues, which is why we were diagnosed with the "struggles to understanding social cues" disorder and not the "doesn't like inathenticity" disorder.

i realized the flaw in cognitive behavioral therapy when i was talking to my therapist for months about a worry i had about a specific thing happening and i was doing exercises to convince myself it wouldn’t happen and then the thing actually did happen

It’s because they’re trying to date 22 year olds. I finally asked a guy how old the women he was seeing because he kept complaining about them wanting to be taken care of and not having jobs and then he said a lot of them were in their early/mid twenties. Okay well yeah.

[hil @plume__]

an artificial kidney which is already in development and struggling to secure funding could genuinely be a lifesaver for millions of people but yeah let’s indulge the pitiful fantasies of overly comfortable adults who are mentally twelve

gay guys arent lacking holes to fuck. lesbians are lacking a phallic shaped appendage to fuck. pretty simple
