The fun aside to the Josh Butler kerfuffle is that his work demonstrates what Althaus-Reid meant by “all theology is sexual theology” and it even echoes the wordplay and analysis that queer theology often uses. Can’t imagine he intended to validate queer theology like this lol
The one good thing about NYC’s subway. Also taxi drivers in SK often refuse to go to destinations out of their way, so that’s not a reliable alternative.
every time there's a video like this that's like "our subway system is better than nyc's" it's like a bunch of cool stuff and then "it doesn't run at night" and i'm like okay lmao
Someone (not in education) was surprised to hear that teachers have to set up their own classrooms.
She thought we had someone to do that for us and we just walk in the first day and start teaching. I had to explain it takes days of prep + physical labor. And we don’t get paid.
All the time. When people in my old org used to be like “we’re ahead of the curve in DEI” I used to scoff, because that seemed impossible. But now I understand because, somehow, so many more of my meetings comprise only men now. The depths to which tech will sink…
I wanna know if men notice when they’re in a meeting with only men. Like do they ever stop and register “hmm there are only men here” as a conscious observation
