But I want to spread awareness about the corruption happening in our country. Trillions meant for flood control projects vanished, with the money ending up in the pockets of government officials and contractors—an outrageous abuse of power. It’s painful to see our taxes, which we all pay regardless of age or status, wasted while Filipinos continue to suffer. Even a simple rain now floods entire cities, yet our leaders failed to ensure these projects were carried out. Poor governance has no excuse, and the reality is that we keep bearing the burden while they escape accountability.

As a Filipino, I share this to remind myself and others that our voices matter. We speak up not only for ourselves, but for our families, for those who cannot, and for the future we want to build.
