I bought a beautiful azalea a few years ago. My grandsons loved to explore the huge backyard with their wagon. They came in with “flowers” they picked for me. They had torn off branches of that lovely azalea. The smiles on their faces melted my heart. I took those branches and put them in water and told them they were the most beautiful flowers I had ever seen. It took several years before that azalea recovered. Every time I look at it I think of that day. They are teenagers now. ❤️

I spoke to my old friend Mitch McConnell this morning, the senior Senator from Kentucky. He’s still recovering in the hospital. We talked for just shy of 45 minutes. He's so sharp. Just like always he let me do all of the talking. He's a great listener. After that we prayed silently for awhile and had a staring contest. Just like always, he beat me. I told him we want to see him back at work as soon as possible.
