According to the notice pasted on walls, the judgment creditors said 56.570 hectares of the community, the equivalent of at least 79 standard football pitches, belong to them under a 2003 High Court judgment.

Miscreants accompanying Alhaji Ashafa Ogundare family's attorney, Alli Hassan, allegedly assaulted The Guardian journalist Eniola Daniel during coverage of a court judgment enforcement at Santos Estate, Akowonjo, Lagos, forcing him to delete recorded footage.

The journalist alleged the attack occurred in the presence of police officers, while Hassan declined to respond when contacted. Other journalists reportedly fled the scene for safety.
