I am a traveling intensive care nurse from Ohio, and Austin T. Burke's mother. After watching his criminal trial in 2018 and fully believing he would be aquitted, I went on a crusade afterwards to figure out what really happened and to find new evidence. I ended up finding more than I bargained for.

My son is a 1st degree black belt in world Taekwondo, and was charged and convicted with killing his friend Brandon Sample, and an unrelated Pizza Joe's robbery 9 days later in Trumbull County, Ohio. He was sentenced to 48 years. I found new witnesses and discovered that much of the evidence in this case had been destroyed, altered, or fabricated. I also found out that the coroner involved in the case was known for changing death findings to match the police theories, even if they do not line up with the science (Which he did in this case as well).

A book was written about my son's case that just came out within the last couple months. Donna Waters investigated this case for 5 years and wrote the book "Wrong Ride Home", and it is available on Amazon.

It has been relatively accepted by the locals that my son is innocent of the crimes he's been convicted of. However the Assistant prosecutor that is responsible for this case, has launched some very nasty and dirty attacks in order to preserve his conviction. It led to a lot of twists and turns in this story that are nearly unbelievable. My son is now an interstate compact prisoner in Florence, Colorado in a holding cell waiting to go to the ADMAX.
