@RaymondALopez In all fairness, all former mayors of the city have taxpayer funded security.
Instead let’s start with the city treasurer, there was some….. issues, to call it that, with her security.
Might be a good place to start. As well as the current mayors’ extended security detail.
Absolutely spot on. This is such an important point.
A lot of people fall into the trap of chasing tiny chances at huge rewards - like spending years chasing something with a 1-in-1000 shot just because the prize sounds massive.
But in real life, those odds usually aren’t clear or honest. They’re based on weak info, guesses, or hype - not solid facts.
So we end up wasting time, money, and energy on dreams that were never real to begin with. That’s the danger of “Pascal’s scams”.- they feel smart but are built on shaky ground.
@RaymondALopez This guy is TRULY a clown of all clowns. When Karen Lewis made that statement, Rahm retorted and disavowed it on 02/27/2012. For one.
For 2. Was it Rahm who consistently wanted teachers to get more and more while the kids can’t read, can’t write and can’t count? Or was that CTU

I interviewed Mayor Brandon Johnson today 1-on-1. Here are 6 things that stuck out.
First, there was no big news. That sounds boring, but it's important: No new shiny policy or flashy goal. He used many of the same talking points he always uses. So what are his 2025 goals? (1/7)
Here is the entire 3 page Chicago police arrest report for Cook County Board of Review Commissioner Samantha Steele's DUI arrest. I don't believe anyone has shared the entire report before, so here it is. She hasn't apologized for what she did yet.
When Richard M. Daley, became mayor, he “understood more than anybody ... that he had to address what was called Beirut-on-the-Lake at the time because of the racial divide,” his brother Bill Daley told the Sun-Times. https://t.co/uQQfZQOzLj

~~ eXciTed t0 anNouNCe ~~ @typecapital, the 𝐚𝐛𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 for founders to take their first check. I spoke with @FortuneMagazine about building Type –still in its earliest stages– and how excited I am about the next-generation of founders and fund managers. There’s still a ton more work to do, but I haven’t felt this excited, focused, and (dare I say) convicted in a long time.
To the builders, always. You’re exactly our type.

Mariyana Spyropoulos @m_spyropoulos decisively ousted incumbent Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court Iris Martinez by almost a 2 to 1 margin, winning everywhere except some Latino precincts. #electiontwitter#twill
Not an April Fool’s joke: The press corps came with questions for Mayor Brandon Johnson about CCSAO Dem nominee Eileen O’Neill Burke’s platform, ShotSpotter legislation and more, but he said he wouldn’t answer “off topics” until the end. At the end, he ducks out without answering
