We are thrilled with the Executive Orders signed by President Biden today that will further racial equity. One of these Orders prohibits the Department of Justice from renewing contracts with private prisons; effectively abolishing (private) prisons. Itโs a first step!
2020 brought about an uprising unlike anything that has been seen since the 1960โs. Many people condemned this uprising, just as they did in the 60โs. Let this be a reminder, that nothing changed in over 50 years and the uprising is a response to over 400 years of oppression.
