We have now institutionalized ISEE, and it is now a formally registered non-governmental organization.
ISEE was rejected several times by the Corporate Affairs Commission until we amended the name to INITIATIVE FOR SCHOOL EXCELLENCE AND EDUCATION FOUNDATION.
Our chairman is Prof. Bath Nnaji, and I will continue to lead the vision.
Our members are Nathan Nwachuku, Eke Urum, and Tony Udeani.
The goal is for the vision to outlive our generation and lead us to civilization.
This is the beginning of greatness for Africa.
We now have 40,757 students registered to participate in the 2027 South East Maths and Science Olympiad.
This is now the largest academic competition in Africa.
We are identifying and grooming the talents who will drive Africa’s industrial revolution.
Within the next 10 years, we are determined to build the greatest workforce in Africa.
The future is being built, one child at a time.
Today, the young engineers are learning how to interface the microcontroller with sensors and actuators. They are also learning how to step down voltage using a buck converter.
Their teacher, Chizoba, made a First Class in Mechatronics Engineering with a CGPA of 4.96/5.
The future of our children is looking promising.
I've spent the last several months researching, travelling, and studying why countries like Singapore, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Canada and Finland built some of the world's best public education systems.
One thing became clear:
Nigeria doesn't just have an education problem. We have a school management problem.
Today, I'm releasing a white paper that proposes a new way to transform our public schools, keeping them publicly owned while introducing world-class management and accountability.
This isn't about politics.
It's about giving every Nigerian child the opportunity to attend a world-class public school.
I hope this sparks one of the most important conversations our country has had about education.
Read it. Criticise it. Improve it. Share it.
If we get education right, we change Nigeria.
