On this day in 2006, we released the Here It Goes Again music video. This video cost less than $5,000 and was shot in 17 very sweaty takes, but it took us to the Grammys, the VMAs, and to the email inboxes of millions of people (you couldn’t share videos to social media back then).
20 years later, we actually now can share this to social media. Enjoy!

🎶 So fill to me the parting glass
And drink a health whate'er befalls
Then gently rise and softly call
Good night and joy be to you all 🎶
Good night, Glen and Sláinte. 🥃💚
#GlenHansard
I will always think of @Glen_Hansard busking on Grafton Street each Christmas Eve for the Simon community and the homeless - the Big Busk, which he started (and which inevitably also involved Bono and Sinéad O'Connor), was a huge part of returning to Dublin for the holidays, for me and many like me, living away.
It made sense to someone who was himself a former Dublin busker - he quit school in Ballymun at 13 to play on his city's streets. He even played an Irish busker on a Simpsons episode ("In the Name of the Grandfather"). The Commitments, The Frames, the Swell Season came after, and so did an Oscar and an Emmy. And still every Christmas he was out busking for the homeless, and getting every other Irish musician to, too.
And Once was both the perfect romantic comedy - the right amount bittersweet, no happy endings but we can value the moments of closeness we get, as long as they last - and the perfect Dublin film. I danced to Falling Slowly at my wedding.

@nestapendragon I use mechanized production in my clue deck, I normally put in on an indestructible land and keep it alive with interaction. But I put it on when I can win on my next upkeep if I didn't flash it in on an end step right before my turn.
@datainputdevice Parents thought I was faking for a week and doctor thought it was an ulcer. Then the day it ruptured I was in so much pain that the Dr had them take me to the hospital where it ruptured as they were taking me back for surgery. It was 2 weeks of pain before I got in ><
