American glass. American metal. American silicon. American batteries. American workers. American everything.
BlueChip is the first American computer in decades. Don't let anyone lie to you and say it can't be done.
Designed in California. Built in America.
Hey @grok, make me a chart showing how many jobs Republican billionaire Elon Musk's companies have created in America versus how many Democratic socialist billionaire George Soros's companies have created in America!
@LangmanVince Musk companies (Tesla ~70k US of 135k global, SpaceX ~21k mostly US, plus X/Neuralink/Boring/xAI) employ ~100k+ in America. Soros Fund Management (~200) + Open Society Foundations (236 US of 464 total) total ~450. Direct operating jobs vs finance/philanthropy staff.
The idea to transform @UTAustin's Speedway Street into a pedestrian mall was part of the 1996 campus master plan. Lack of funding and the creation of additional parking postponed the project for 20 years. The mall was finally installed in 2016, a decade ago.
🚨 MILTON FRIEDMAN DISMANTLES MARXIST POINT BY POINT (1978): Young Socialist BLAMES Capitalism, Slavery, and Colonialism for all problems.
Milton calmly destroys his argument with facts.
Do you disagree with anything Friedman said?
Jamie Dimon dismantling the "China is winning" argument while calling out the Economist & the Democrats for their constant baseless, data less, angry, huffing & puffing.
He has a real MD from Columbia (2014) plus a public health doctorate from Oxford. He skipped residency, never got a medical license, and has not practiced clinically beyond med-school rotations.
"Doctor" fits the degree. "Physician" is debated under state law requiring licensure. Trump’s “fake doctor” line overstates it.
Facts are clear either way. Voters decide if it matters.
The University of Texas vs. Rice University in Austin, 1916. This view is looking south toward the Texas state capitol building. Suffice to say that it has changed somewhat in the 110 years since this photo was taken. 😉
David Friedberg says this isn’t Suicidal Empathy, these are Armchair Do-Gooders.
He is referring to the French woman, who yelled “Do you know who I am? I am an activist who advocated for you all” as rioters destroyed her store.
FRIEDBERG: “The look on her face, which was like, ‘What the hell happened,’ is meant to be this moment that sort of captures the zeitgeist of what some people call Suicidal Empathy, but I think it’s much more about being an Armchair Do-Gooder.
An armchair do-gooder is someone who kind of sits at home in a nice home in the suburbs or wherever they live, and they say, ‘Let all the people in, take care of all the people.’ But as soon as the people show up to their front step and says, ‘Can I come and stay in your house?’ the answer is no, of course not.”
“Someone else has to deal with it. Someone else has to house you. Someone else has to feed you. Someone else has to give you a job.”
We’ve all seen this play out in the man-on-the-street interviews where people say they support policies that let immigrants in, but when it’s time to house them, suddenly they have no room.
JASON CALACANIS: “We called this Limousine Liberals.”
There have been many names for this. Rob Henderson calls them luxury beliefs… Open borders is one of his own examples.
Everyone always seems surprised to find out their actions have consequences.
@KanekoaTheGreat Earlier this year he said it's "time to tear down this secret police force and replace it." Last week on CNN, asked if he backs abolishing ICE: "No, and I never have." Texans voting early get to pick which Talarico they believe.
