It was predatory despite the verdict. The winning, the injured reserve are annoyances. The Hart signing is why I hate them.

@JRA2pair @JLazzy23 Sure, but then the playing field has to be levelled when it comes to provincial/state taxes. That is a really big obstacle to doing that in a 32 team league. The talent pool isn't strong enough to build a winner from scratch quick enough to keep pace with neg. rights.

@snowdad14 @JLazzy23 Realistically though, if DET doesn't honour the request, good players will avoid signing there. That's the issue with NMC. The fix is to make the NMC null and void if a player requests a trade in the next CBA.

@billhl3 @JLazzy23 @billh13 It's not that simple and you know that. The NHL would have to outlaw NMCs and that would require CBA renegotiation, which the NHLPA would never agree to. These players are already on a contract that they signed. They are not fighting for rights.

@RadioFreeTom Americans believe the world is waiting for them to go back to the way it was. The world has moved on, making new deals, thinking differently. The influence USA enjoyed since WW2 is over. They'll be new partnership opportunities with USA for sure, but not in the way it was.
