you completely missed the point and it's not even close
Sports have hundreds of rules and regulations to make sure mistakes don't happen. If someone breaks those rules, it's acceptable to be frustrated. People should be "held accountable," like the original tweet said
Storytelling does not have hundreds of rules and regulations. It's completely up to the creator of the story. Nobody should be "held accountable" over something CREATIVE
I care about storytelling far more than you could ever think and I promise you, there is no story worth someone getting shit on the way you guys have the duffers
@Aranwe9378@UserOfTwitt3r@jake_theviking I'm not disagreeing with you. I have questions about the series ending too. I'm just saying we can have those questions without asking for the Duffer Brothers head. There's a very big difference between critique/questions and what's happening here
There's plenty of stuff that I've disliked and have said so. I didn't like Pulp Fiction - I never once said we need to hold Quentin Tarantino accountable for what he created. I never said you can't call it a shit show, I said it's stupid that you guys wanna hang the Duffer Brothers for it. There's critique and then there's just insanity and the lines are so blurred here
"When someones writing is shit, you tell them" Writing is not a fucking carpentry job. Writing is not an electrical job. Writing is not a food service job. There's not rules to that shit, you just write what you creatively want. How can you call someone shit when theres no rules for them to live by?
It's an artform, craft, and creative. There's no criteria for you to even judge them on it. You can't compare what they created to something of a normal job.
Their job is to entertain, and if you were or weren't, they still did their part. But not liking the outcome of a CREATIVE PROCESS should not stoop to the levels where you're asking for their heads. That's ridiculous and it only causes creatives to not wanna take risks
@lynithea_trades@jake_theviking What exactly am I supposed to feel? It's not my money, it didn't come out of my taxes. Why the hell do I care how much Netflix paid?
Its the complete opposite. Its your guys mindset that is why stuff is mediocre.
Why would I wanna take risk, or let alone write something, if this is the kind backlash you could get over something that's supposed to be artistic, expressive, and creative?
Instead, recognize the work that was put in, appreciate or dislike what was given, and move on. Othewise, the negative feedback just pushes studios and execs to wanna play it safe
Its an art form, it's not sports. If you're mad at a football game, its fair to be mad at the refs for shit calls when theres rules to play by. But when it comes to an art, something that is opinionated upon, it shouldn't be subject to the kinda bullshit you guys are putting on it. If you don't like it, you can say that without sitting there calling for peoples heads and saying someone needs to be "held accountable"
People like you are the reason why creatives don't wanna take risk, and why people create meaningless shows and movies. Because the moment anyone does something creative that gets disagreed with, you guys go up and arms and studios go back to making superhero movies and shit remakes
If you don't care for the ending, move on. Nobody owes you shit. Watch another show. Sorry you didn't see the vision
@Jeffrey_McJeff@Lane_Kiffin "Genuinely, fuck you" what a vile thing to say to someone over FOOTBALL
Theres bigger things in the world. I'm just as interested in the Lane Kiffin decision as much as the next guy but holy hell you people are insufferable to drop to that level of disrespect over a sport
Dude, he's an elderly man who just lost somebody he cared about. He doesn't wanna get emotional in front of reporters, so he deflects. My father does the same thing if I ask him about somebody he cared about. Have some perspective. You people are so black and white in your thinking
