After losing Maisie in May, I needed something to keep me anchored. I went back to a project I had to put aside while she was sick, and it’s been the only thing keeping my head above water. Tomorrow, I'm finally sharing what I’ve been building. #indieproject#passionproject
On May 1st I took Maisie to the vet after we had been trying new medicine to hopefully help her issues. It didn’t. She was declining very quickly and additional treatment would not have changed the outcome in a meaningful way. So I made the decision not to let her suffer anymore.
Maisie slipped on ice during a storm and has been in pain ever since. I’m hoping to raise funds for her vet visits, possible surgery, medication, & treatments. If you’re able, please donate or share to help Maisie heal and bring her joy back. https://t.co/8vnWURn8d8
Well, that didn't take me long to forget that I was trying to use Twitter more.
Me (Sept 30th): I'm going to use Twitter again.
Also Me (Today): It's been 4 days since I last checked Twitter.
I got busy working on a quote for the last few days.
Finally got the last few changes made to my website. Tomorrow I just need to start filling pages and make some posts. It’s not perfect but I was able to use a simple theme with a few changes to make it good enough until I have the time to make my own.
Spent some time finishing up more of the final touches on my website revamp. Have 2-3 more little things to deal with them I can start posting. I already have multiple posts started I just need to sit down and finish them.
Since it’s been a while and I never actually posted a photo of her on here (except all of the automated Instagram posts) I thought I would share one of my most recent photos of Maisie.
I’ve had the domain for 13 years and every time I start posting to it I post for a few weeks or months and then stop. A few months or a year later I will come back, question what I was doing, delete everything, and start over. My goal this time is to stop that cycle.
Took some much need time off of social media today to start working on a revamp of my website. Nothing fancy just WordPress with a few changes to a basic theme. I’m going to finish it up tomorrow so I can start posting and then I’ll work on a complete overhaul as time permits.
Downloading 14 years of Facebook data is taking a little bit of time but will be worth it in the end. I also have a copy of my Twitter data being prepared so I can download it in case I need it in the future.
...the automated tweets from Instagram. Also, I noticed that I had a lot of giveaway tweets that I didn't realize were posting since I was entering them through a different site. They are also being deleted.
