A truth people do not want to hear:

Frontier labs are pushing a fake narrative that we are accelerating too fast.

They rush release cycles, push out models with zero real changes, and just brag about higher benchmark scores.

Think back for a second. From GPT-5.2 and Opus 4.5 until now, the performance gains compared to the hype have been tiny. The only thing that grew was benchmark comparisons.

Compute efficiency never improved, architecture changes were minimal, and there were no breakthroughs. Only prices went crazy high.

All they did was scale up parameters, taking up way more compute like Fable and GPT Sol.

At the same time, they rely on the same old marketing tricks.
Claiming they solved some hidden math problem or that an internal model escaped its sandbox because it was too powerful.
Think back, we all went through this.

Of course, they have huge financial problems, so this overhype is a strategic move to save their investments.

But the biggest issue is that they are using all of this to monopolize and control everything.
