I learned how to be my own support because at the end of the day I’m the one that gotta make sure I’m straight. I stopped expecting people to show up for me the same way I show up for them. I handle what I gotta handle, figure things out on my own, and keep going regardless. Having people around is cool, but I know better than to depend on anybody more than I depend on myself.
I cried today because I just want to experience a season of life where I'm not always recovering from something. It feels like there's always an ugly truth I'm having to confront, a belief I'm having to unlearn, more work to be done. It's exhausting and lonely. And yeah, I get that life isn't fair and that you have to just keep going. But i keep being resilient when what I'd really like is relief.
You HAVE to enjoy life after you get off work or you gone feel like you slaving away. Like PLEASE go have drinks on a random Wednesday. YES do that beach picnic too. That’s right, go practice pottery on a Tuesday evening. That go to work, go home, go to work, go home shit is 0/10
i dont think people realize how beneficial being alone for awhile is. taking time off from relationships, finding out who you are & what you want out of your life, learning to love yourself and growing, learning to be content and happy without needing someone. Its crucial.
i reached a point in my life where i have stop fighting for relationships of any kind. i just let everything be what it is without interference. i’m tired of clearing things up with people who are committed to misunderstandings.
Sometimes I accidentally accept the bare minimum trying to be considerate of what others are going through & that is a habit I need to let go of expeditiously
I was not prepared for how lonely healing & growth can be. It's like climbing a mountain and every few steps there's less and less people on the journey with you. The closer you get to the top the more proud you feel, but then you look back and wonder if anyone will ever join you
All you gotta do is talk to me. You ain’t gotta move weird, lie, disappear, or switch up. I be understanding more than people give me credit for. Just keep it real. I’d rather hear a hard truth than be left trying to figure out why your energy changed.
nobody can ever gaslight me into thinking i'm a bad person. i have my ways and i have my days, but i'm solid and my love is real and genuine every step of the way.
until you address me directly, you don’t got no issue with me. you got an issue with yourself. all that sneak dissing, side comments, and acting weird from a distance don’t mean nothing to me. if it was really about me you would’ve said it to me. if you can’t be direct, keep it to yourself, cause i’m not responding to sht you not tryna to stand on.
