Parastoo Ahmadi, one of Iran's most beloved singers, has reportedly been sentenced to 74 lashes simply for singing. Her musicians and production team face the same punishment. In the 21st century, a woman will be lashed on her body because she dared to sing.

I want to scream. I want to shout in the street and sing loud and tell everyone: this government is killing innocent people, executing them, lashing them. This is not a normal government.

So I am calling on every famous singer, every big name, every artist with a stage and a microphone: be Parastoo's voice. Sing for her until she can sing again.

Today, the Pennsylvania Department of Health withdrew its proposed rulemaking on communicable and noncommunicable diseases from consideration by the Independent Regulatory Review Commission.

This is an important development for Pennsylvanians who raised serious concerns about government overreach, individual liberty, and the protection of our constitutional rights.

Your voices were heard. Your concerns mattered. And today, our rights were protected.

The Department has indicated that it intends to revise the proposal and may resubmit it in the future. So we will remain vigilant and continue to scrutinize any new proposal to ensure that the rights and freedoms of Pennsylvanians are respected.

Government works for the people not the other way around.
