A teacher's life... Sunday at the coffee shop. Grading and lesson planning...and sitting at separate tables because we both need more space! #powercouple#internationalteachers
@AirChinaNA we had a rough morning and missed our flight but your customer service at HKG was incredible! Thanks for helping make a bad situation less stressful! ππ½π€ππ½
@NalleyLaura there are fewer girls at my school as is expected in this culture, but when I have the opportunity to work with them, I share all of the girl power energy I can muster. Somedays I wonder if my attempts to empower and represent these girls somehow negatively affects the boys.
What would be a dream field trip for your class? Mine would be taking actors to see a show, meet my friends, and get a backstage tour! #tncohort#broadwaybound#londonwestend
@MeganTh19911805 I make sure I know something specific about their lives and ask them about it. And I'm always thanking my actors for their contributions and praising their work. Even the minimalists who contribute to class are putting themselves out to be vulnerable and that deserves recognition
@NatalyaSchepens I think that also depends on the age group. The younger ones most likely get hooked on reading through fictional stories. As their abilities to relate to the world around them begins to mature, then non-fiction stories can become a powerful teaching tool!
@gunturuj I wonder if you could use monologues as a way to introduce narrative. It could be as simple as a student telling a story about something that happened to them. Putting that story on paper, and then making sure it is in first person.
@gunturuj I do not have a lot of things in my room, but everything I do have I designed and created myself and color printed at school! Laminate and boom!
@jessodendaal1 I am creating unique memorable moments and really getting to know my kids. I love hard and that helps builds trust! I give them opportunities I did not have in high school!
@NalleyLaura Our school uses Microsoft Office 365 and part of that is a private video network called Stream. We use that for sharing. I am believe that Schools or classes can also set up private YouTube accounts only available to selected users
