I'll be glad when I've fully migrated off Windows. Every version/update just makes the user experience worse. #Win11 is now hiding user accounts from the start button and showing me pointless account details instead.
Finished the new #AlanWake2#DLC, felt a little half baked. Some interesting narrative but the gameplay was a mixture of overly easy and buggy. Wasn't a fan of The Signal or The Writer back in the day but at least the gameplay was fine.
Win11 needs a "remind me never" option for every single service MS thinks you want. Since when was it acceptable for the OS to spam you with ads and services? Let me get on with my work.
Also certain online music I own refuses to load in the app. I can play tracks individually but not the album. And cause @Sonos app is hot garbage, I can't add the individual tracks to the current queue or a playlist anymore.
Well @Sonos app is still a piece of junk. Local file search still MIA and online search is poor to buggy. If I own an album, online search will show me alternatives I don't own first that I can neither listen too or pay for.
I really wish OneDrive just worked as a cloud store. It's Office integration screws over my workflows. Just noticed my local OneNote files are missing, OneDrive converted them into a web link. I didn't ask for that or want it.
The new @Sonos app is an absolute trash fire: local music search is busted, the new UI takes ages to do anything, the home page refuses to remember edits, playlists are not editable, alarms are gone and so on. The app might as well be beta, roll back S2 and release as S3 beta.
Oh, and now the app is upgraded on all my devices despite disabling updates, or so I thought. Just great. This screw up reminds me of when I got a GE smart light and the app bricked it and the developer said a fix is on the way, they just couldn't say when.
Some more fun @Sonos stuff. The control widget on the lock and notification bar is gone. Changing tracks is now, turn screen on, open app, click last speaker or flip up speaker list and click speaker, click next track. Ambitious if you want to tank your product!
Reading the @Sonos feed about the new update seems to be missing the point. Doesn't matter if the update is the most ambitious, you borked the core app features customers rely on and now we're stuck with a subpar product. Patience is for geniue new features not fixing old ones.
Will be taking about: "Installing Continuously Venting Range Hoods to Improve IAQ: Lessons from the Field" at 2.30 pm in room 101IJ https://t.co/nxhdObxqRv #NHPC24#Weatherization#ASHRAE #62.2
Just what you want the day before your presentation, Office to throw a wobbler, forget your subscription and then demand you reinstall everything. I miss the days when you weren't dependent on license servers.
As a rule, the controls for bathroom exhaust fans should either be accessible without removing the grille or the grille shouldn't require a fight to put it back on. Drywall does not like that fight.
