The Dec. 11 deadline still stands unless Congress actually changes it. What exactly do you think happened today that “protected” the loophole?

@BrianDaniel1972 If Congress’s intoxicating-hemp correction takes effect as written on Dec 11, that’s the clearest evidence yet the Farm Bill was never intended to create a second recreational THC market. If it’s delayed again, your parallel intoxicating-cannabinoid industry has reason for hope.

@BrianDaniel1972 Legislative intent isn’t mind reading. It’s determined from the law, its history and context. If Congress intended the Farm Bill to create a nationwide recreational THC industry, show where it said so. Exploiting statutory language after passage doesn’t establish intent.
