@shenetworks Wait until they tell you you got nerve damage from holding your phone too much or using your mouse all day. I guess you can get hurt just from having your arms bent. 🤣
@BentleyAudrey@grok can the photo posted here be either verified or debunked as being posted by “Network Chuck”? Can anyone actually confirm context be revealed to shine any light on this?
@BentleyAudrey As a fan of his content, this is news to me. Can anyone actually confirm this is his account/channel/post or whatever?
I ask because I’ve never seen this, never known him to be that guy and this would be completely unacceptable if true.
Can we maybe stop trying to cancel people every time they express a belief we don’t personally share?
@NetworkChuck has spent years creating great tech content, teaching people, helping newcomers, and generally being a positive presence in the community. He’s also a religious person, and part of his faith involves openly sharing that faith.
You don’t have to believe what he believes. You don’t have to agree with the post. You can scroll past it, disagree with it, or even respectfully challenge it.
But disagreement doesn’t require contempt.
One of the best things about the tech community is that it brings together people from wildly different backgrounds, cultures, countries, politics, religions, and philosophies. That diversity only works if we’re willing to extend some tolerance to people whose beliefs aren’t our own.
We spend a lot of time talking about creating inclusive communities. Inclusion has to include people we disagree with, too.
You don’t have to share someone’s faith to treat them like a human being.
Disagree without dehumanizing. Debate without attacking. And maybe give each other a little more grace.
@glangley@RandPaul Pretty sure we were safe before your company. Pretty sure you haven’t done anything that actually has prevented crime.
What you have done is build a billion dollar company collecting and selling data.
You provided a service to allow agencies to track citizens without warrants.
@mandolinsara Please tell me you will be asleep! I asked for sleep dentistry just for cleaning. He said how necessary is that. I said how much do you want to make it home tonight! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@glangley@5149jamesli If this was a nonprofit I bet you would have a different opinion.
China has amazingly low crime and very similar views and technology as you. Are you communist?
@HackingLZ This is hysterical because I was talking to my wife about this exact thing yesterday before I saw it pop off. More for her older parent’s memory but also how it’s not the threat corp American trains you to avoid because it’s in your house not on your desk.
@peterjhasson Sorry, but we don’t care if it made their job easier or not.
We care about not living in communist China.
We care about private companies selling information on us.
We care about police circumventing warrants with loopholes.
@RandPaul See we can cross party lines. I’m all the way Democrat but kudos Rand. We can agree on some things.
Now let’s all work together to end this surveillance once and for all.
