“We’re all hostages to what we love. The only way to be truly free is to love nothing. How meaningless would that be?” - Q (Star Trek: Picard Season 2)
✨ Wednesday Wisdom ✨
the q-picard-vash throuple is so important to me I do think it's so fun to see Picard deal with not one but two lying tricksters that he can't help but indulge... they tried to love triangle them but nothing escapes my THROUPLE BEAM
the entirety of picard s2 was a love letter from Q to picard at the end of his life. their last conversation was all but a love confession. picard hugged him in the seconds before they died . and only 795 works exist for this pairing that has existed for 40 years …

Wahhhh I love Q and Picard sm they need to kiss nnow like Q went back and died with his buddy Picard when Picard was nearing his end even tho Q is a fucking Q so he had multiple INFINITIES longer than Picard did so he lived out his entire life then went back in time to die w him
Hace poco terminé next generation y el último episodio es lo mejor que vi en mi vida, es increíble que el plot sea picard probandole a Q la virtud de la humanidad... Osea todo siempre fue simplemente Qcard...
The trial never ends mon capitane 🚬🚬🚬🚬
Jean-Luc Picard/Q (the godlike trickster) is a major slash pairing in Star Trek: TNG fandom. Many, including screenwriter Ron Moore, feel Q's canon behavior can be explained as being in love with Picard. This #ShipSunday, get to know #QCard on Fanlore https://t.co/2S7f3yTi91
I don’t know about all of you but I find it quite intriguing how they make it a point to have literal Qcards all over the place when #Qcard is also the actual Picard/Q ship name these days I mean this is peak meta #StarTrek
Q and Picard being gay as hell in the first episode of TNG is so funny like they really tell you right away “if you thought Spock and Kirk were gay wait til you see these mfs”
#DW25: Planet of Fire is a terrific ending to a distinct era of Doctor Who. There's still one more story in Davison's tenure and 2 more in S21, but this is the story where all the loose ends are tied up. As such, it's great! We finally get Turlough's origins.
The plot of the story gels with Turlough's past very well. Landing on a planet whose devastation is a direct result of his species' exile of his family is a terrific setup, and it comes at a great time after he had to face his ancestral enemies in Frontios.
I think his exit is similarly well-handled. In an ideal world, he wouldn't have been able to accept Trion's changing ideologies and continued with the Doctor, but I can accept this version of events 😭. Turlough has been the source of great stories, and I shall miss him.
