I hate to defend Bibi, but let's be realistic here; there's no sign that Hamas accepted such a deal, and with their history of rejecting whatsoever deal, it's reasonable to assume that they wouldn't agree to this one, especially since it doesn't meet their demands. As much as I'm seeking a ceasefire to end this bloodshed, giving Hamas the opportunity to impose their terms is not the solution. Since the war began, Israel has faced intense pressure to reach an agreement (which is understandable), but if the same pressure were applied to Hamas, we would not be here. Stop giving Hamas excuses.
