Professor Jiang – Secret History, Episode 19: “Dawn of the Jews”
In this clip, Professor Jiang lays out a historical argument about the Babylonian destruction of Jerusalem (c. 587 BCE) and the Persian period that followed.
He argues that after Babylon destroyed Jerusalem and dispersed the Israelites, their political identity collapsed. When Cyrus the Great conquered Babylon in 539 BCE and issued what’s known as the Edict of Cyrus, he allowed a group to return to Jerusalem.
Jiang argues the decision was imperial strategy, not theology: a classic divide-and-rule policy.
According to this view, the Persian Empire reorganized the region into provinces, including Yehud (“Beyond the River”), and promoted a new administrative identity tied to that province. Jiang argues that this is where the term “Jews” emerges, not as an ethnic invention, but as a political-administrative category within the Persian system.
He emphasizes that many surrounding populations were also descendants of Israelites who had remained in the Levant, adapted locally, intermarried, and practiced different religions.
In 1989 SCOTUS ruled in Allegheny vs ACLU that Christian Nativity scenes couldn’t be displayed by the government but Menorah’s could.
So the White House has a menorah but not a nativity scene on the lawn.
Some religions are more privileged than others.
Here are a couple of clips from my discussion on Piers Morgan's show today about his interview of @NickJFuentes, starting with the question of whether Fuentes is too far beyond the pale of decency to "platform":
Steven Crowder grills Piers Morgan over having Nick Fuentes on his show but not listening to what he had to say
“You think that’s going to be effective or fruitful, bringing on a guy named Finkelstein? You weren’t listening to the guy.”
There’s a whole rabbit hole about how Chinese language proves the Bible is historical.
See comments for how the Chinese word for righteousness is a “lamb” symbol over the symbol for “me”
I mean….come on.
Nick Fuentes goes into why Hitler is so cool to so many. In doing so, he summarizes the entire Piers Morgan interview.
He gives an in-depth breakdown that relates to society today. Probably not what you expected to hear, but articulate and accurate.
“We are living in a time where all we know is self imposed shame and guilt and self-hatred…we have to feel sorry, we have to feel bad…this is the society we’ve grown up in.”
“What if we took the chains off?…that is what is electrifying. That’s what excites people.”
“This is the simplest, most fundamental form of the idea. We have lost something. Something that’s priceless. Something that is not recoverable. We were cheated.”
“You want us to apologize to some jew selling a book?”
“People are starting to say, what if? What if it was all a mistake.”
“The central point…why do we say Hitler is cool?…because we are destroying the secular religion of liberalism and the holocaust, which go hand and glove.”
“I’ll say it’s 300,000, I’ll say it’s 100 million. Because I want you to know I don’t care…every death in a genocide is a tragedy. But you have weaponized the holocaust against me and my people. You have weaponized this atrocity against my civilization in order to further your own political objectives.”
“As long as you’re doing that, it is my obligation to blaspheme your false secular religion.”
“I apologize for nothing. I take nothing back.”
Pope Leo on how to deal with distractions during prayers.
I love his approach✅
Thank you @KatiePMcGrady for the question. You asked it for many people.
Nick Fuentes describes Donald Trump’s tired, manipulative playbook. How they lie to you, distract you, and keep delivering nothing.
This isn’t a failure of politics. It’s strategic betrayal.
“Trump is more unpopular than ever…Any way you cut it, it is catastrophically bad.”
“Rather than keep his promises, all this administration has done is enrich the people that are in it. There are rampant, criminal levels of corruption…The very people Trump brought in to drain the swamp, they are looting D.C. They’re taking everything that isn’t nailed down…
They’re f*cking stealing. They are corrupt. Howard Lutnick and David Sachs, these people are criminals.”
“Contrary to what the true believers, the plan-trusters say, this is not the result of a political system that is so difficult to overcome… They are not even trying. It is actually for a lack of trying that it is this way…
It’s a joke. Kristi Noem is a joke, Kash Patel is a joke, Pete Hegseth is a joke.”
“Here’s the playbook: it is in this context where Trump posts something like this. Poll numbers down, favorability down the tube, economy sucks, all these wars are breaking out all over again, everybody’s deeply unhappy. What do we do? Let it rip with the racism, with the ret*rd, with nativism.
I know what will get those stupid idiots back on my side. I’m going to do a racist rant. I’m going to go on Twitter and Truth Social and I’m going to let it rip… I’m going to say something so shocking, so edgy, so ridiculous, that everyone is going to be talking about this and not that.”
“I am going to pander to my base, as though I give a shit about what they want, to distract them from how I’m betraying them in every other way… That’s what this is. That’s what this always is.”
“They do this every time. Trump knows his base. He knows his people. He knows what they want. He knows what they want to hear. And he always has… He knows what you expect him to deliver but he refuses to give it to you.”
“It’s an act. It’s an appeal. People say: Are we going to get the 2016 Trump back?… 2016 Trump is a marketing strategy. It’s like the f*cking green M&M. It’s like the Geico gecko… It’s a marketing gimmick to get you through the door to buy the product.”
