@e_evol89 In Germany or Spain he will shine, unfortunately he is holding back the team with his performances. Macca and Gravenberch in the double pivot today the best we have been all season. Szoboslai in hole, Camara the engine in January, new Macca contract & Nyoni more minutes.

[Shane Thorne @justshanethorne]

@LFCTransferRoom Some signings take time and some just don’t work out. This season will determine which one that is. He’s a player who needs time and space with the ball, both are limited in the Premier League.

Up until the red #LFC were looking comfortable. Two poor decisions (you could argue one but not both were yellows) changed everything. Kavanagh is always soft & you could see early on with Guehi being blown over how this was going to go. Wirtz & Barcola struggling still.

[Shane Thorne @justshanethorne]

Araujo & Jacquet the difference makers for #LFC yesterday. May prove to be 2 of the best signings since Alisson & Van Dijk. Clean sheets are the one thing we have been missing for the past few seasons. We don’t have to win pretty, just score. Gakpo flying, Isak needs confidence.

[Shane Thorne @justshanethorne]

The pressing tonight from #LFC was 🔥 Koumas unbelievable energy. If anything the midfield dynamic change when going to the familiar 3. Nyoni & Macca our best 2 in the pivot based on tonight. Then you have to decide between Szobo (what a 🚀) or Wirtz. Tough calls need to be made.

[Shane Thorne @justshanethorne]

The winter transfer window can’t come soon enough for #LFC Camara and Balde should be absolute musts. I would also be thinking about an alternative up top - bring Toney back to the Premier League.

[Shane Thorne @justshanethorne]

Overall, a much better performance tonight from #LFC The defence looks so much better with Araujo at RB. Rio more himself on the left. Barcola unlucky with his chances and the injury. Macca and Szobo the best pairing in CM so far. Wirtz getting in better positions. Improving.

[Shane Thorne @justshanethorne]

Think #LFC sign Minteh in January, if he can prove his fitness on return. I’m not convinced we will move for Camara. Wharton nailed on for next Summer if Mac Allister moves on. Could see a move for Alex Scott too if he continues performing at these levels. Nyoni to get a chance.

[Shane Thorne @justshanethorne]

@AnfieldLounge No, nothing about him fits the style. Tiago Santos a much better fit if he can prove his fitness this year.

[Shane Thorne @justshanethorne]

@AnfieldAgenda Julian Ward the most likely internal promotion. Simon Rolfes the best fit but contract an issue. Tiago Pinto not available until next Summer at the earliest. Paul Mitchell and Sebastien Kehl outsiders given their availability and short term fix.

[Shane Thorne @justshanethorne]

@TheAnfieldTalk It’s not whether it was a penalty or not that frustrates fans, it’s the consistency, irrelevant to the team. Both last week and this should have been penalties, according to the rules.

[Shane Thorne @justshanethorne]

Defensively much better for #LFC last night. Araujo gave that added security. Still big gaps in midfield though, which allowed Ipswich many more chances second half. Gakpo showing why it was right for him to stay. Isak showing what a clinical finisher we know he can be. Munoz⚡️

[Shane Thorne @justshanethorne]

Anyone and everyone linked to #LFC this past couple of seasons is coming to the EPL whilst the team are left fighting for the top 6. Barcola will be amazing but we’ve not learnt anything from last season and Salah has left. 53 goals conceded last season and 4 already in 2 games.

[Shane Thorne @justshanethorne]

@David_Ornstein @TheAthleticFC Right decision without more players coming in. He’s fit, contributing, and can play in all 3 forward positions.

[Shane Thorne @justshanethorne]

@AnfieldAgenda Yes. Pecsi back next Summer and can also focus on Risser as the successor to Alisson. Get money back + small profit.

#LFC prediction for transfers completed by Tuesday:

IN:

Endrick - Loan
Minteh
Kone
Santos

OUT:

Elliott - Loan
Gakpo
McConnell - Loan
Chiesa - Loan
Bajcetic - Loan
Lucky - Loan

[Shane Thorne @justshanethorne]

@TheAnfieldWrap Good deal, awful timing. Gakpo can double up as a 9 with Ekitike out until the new year. Can only hope that £85m is going straight out on a comparable player rather than Minteh who won’t be up to speed until January.

[Shane Thorne @justshanethorne]

@AnfieldEdition Keep until next Summer.

[Shane Thorne @justshanethorne]

What a debacle… error with the scoreboard, foul throw and an unavoidable collision after a shot. Not 1 but 3 errors by officials 🤦🏻‍♂️ Wirtz very good, Munoz better on the right, Gakpo must stay, Nyoni needs minutes. RB & a CDM an absolute must for #LFC now. RW can wait.

[Shane Thorne @justshanethorne]

Let’s hope those Sarr rebuffed rumours are true for #LFC Hughes way out of his depth & can’t go soon enough. Another disastrous window which will be followed by a ‘tough’ market to buy line I’m sure 🤦🏻‍♂️
