While writing dissertations on fandom toxicity and exposing your double standards, remember how we got here. You’ve spent *months* vilifying your Asian lead for benefiting from the success he helped create. That’s why we’re here.
@BobFerguson1974@Schaffrillas Icam and the critics agree as well but Hollywood thought he was just too popular at the time. He was robbed for that role.
"The most covetable beauty routine in Hollywood does not come from a celebrity with their own skin care, makeup, or hair care line. It comes from Heated Rivalry star Hudson Williams."
FASHION & BEAUTY ICON 💅
@hudphiles So many I’ve lost count. Diminishing his fashion appeal despite being a FOH ambassador and getting flown in by private jet, dismissing his talent while he keeps racking up weekly nominations for Shane a role that already earned him a CSA. Oh yeah he was invited to the Oscars.
Inderveer Sodhi, the writer/director of “8”, one of Hudson Williams’ upcoming projects, has hinted that the film will be distributed on Netflix! 👀
We are still awaiting an official confirmation!
Zachary Suico, a fencer who competes for Penn State Fencing, spoke to @outsports about how Heated Rivalry and Hudson Williams' portrayal of Shane Hollander impacted him as a gay Asian athlete:
“I read the book, and I watched the show, and honestly, I very much understand the idea that representation does matter. But when Heated Rivalry came out, I think on a personal level, it hit very differently [...] The main character is like a gay Asian male who is competing amongst a lot of amazing people,” Suico continued. “A lot about the show really resonated with me, and I felt very represented at that moment.”
“Hudson Williams’ portrayal of the character made me feel very supported in my life, and more confident in myself and what I wanted to do.”

It is interesting though that in a sea of generic, white hockey romances, the adaptation that was the break out hit and a cultural phenomenon unlike anything we’ve seen in a very long time was the one that was queer and featured a biracial main character. There’s a lesson there.
@only4hudson The least amount of what, who, huh? Cause let’s not lie now. Many Hudson fans are finally getting the memo to not touch that gossip acct with a 10ft pole. Everywhere else tho…
