Sam Altman on the auto assistant researcher in September:
"I think that’s a research problem for the AIs to figure out. I think we’re at a point where... with the current pipeline, the current architectures, I think we’re going to get over the line of when AIs can do incredible [things]."
"By September of this year, we will use 500,000 A100-equivalent GPUs... as an AI research intern, and by March of 2028, we will have a full end-to-end, very talented researcher."
If you’ve been following me I’ve been talking about this since November of last year, deeply excited for the auto assistant researcher and should land right in time for GPT 6
@infinitefun_ it's about everyone wanting to be different, not slop per se. when everyone uses the same models and prompts, they get the same results, so slop's mostly fought through personalisation and models following instructions well instead of deviating towards their own mean aesthetic
@VALKYRIES_V@10blended grok: A quarter-final or even semi run would already be legendary. Winning it all? It'd be one of the biggest shocks in World Cup history... but football is chaotic and Haaland in God mode makes the impossible feel possible.
@VALKYRIES_V@10blended good, I'm sorry for calling you mister nigeria again.
I think it's improbable too, yet I would love it if they would somehow make that miracle happen.
@VALKYRIES_V@10blended i didnt say it was probable, you said "he will never win the world cup [...]"
so that's a definitive statement which I have to reject
@VALKYRIES_V@10blended the truth is that underdog wins are very much possible
does norway have the best squad? no
is it likely they'll win? no
is it possible though? absolutely fucking yes
