I focus on three areas:
1) legs and lower back
2) upper back
3) chest.
In each session, I focus on one of those areas. But the exercises I do vary.
This keeps me interested and presents different challenges to my musculature.
I found out, that the easiest way for me to stick to a training schedule is to do my exercise regimen right in the morning after waking up.
The later during the day, the lower the chance are that I actually go to the gym.
I don't do warm-ups or cool-downs.
I walk, jog or bike to the gym and back.
It takes me 10-15 minutes, I can jump directly into my exercise and I get fresh air, and sunlight and have time to think while getting there.
@DoctorTro Would be great if it would be so simple for everybody. Seen quite some patients (especially women) who developed symptoms of hypothyroidism while restricting carbs. Getting some!! carbs back fixed the issue.
Stop ✋
Take a deep breath.
Now another.
Those were both ‘deep breaths’, but were they the same?
Have any two breaths ever been the same?
Have any two things at all ever been the same?
4 out of 5 times I don't want to go to the gym.
To make it easy my goal is to do one exercise with 5 sets and 12 reps going at 85 % of my max effort at the 4th set.
Takes 10-15 minutes. After that, I am done.
If I am up for more, cool, but doesn't have to.
In case you missed any of them or are looking for something to read this month, here are the best things I wrote in 2022.
The topics span money, happiness, science, entrepreneurship, decision-making, philosophy, and entertainment, so there's something here for everyone.
Exercising for 60 mins is 4% of your day
Writing for 45 mins is 3% of your day
Reading for 30 mins is 2% of your day
Meditating for 15 mins is 1% of your day
It doesn’t take much TIME but it does take intentional action….
Change your habits ➡️ change your life.
I get asked if I exercise a lot. I would say I don't.
I am neither super disciplined nor do I like strength training per se. I just designed my exercise routine around 5 rules so I can stick to it no matter how full the day is.
Let's dive in.

I also have weeks where I do 6-7 sessions. Most weeks I average 4-5.
But I am totally fine and happy if I stick to 3 sessions per week, as long as I do it 54 weeks per year.
Keeping my standard low is key for me to stick to it.
