Cops know how to cover their tracks
- He knew the office wasn't equipped with cameras, but other rooms were and had audio. He shouted: "Put down the gun!" (like cops yell "Stop resisting" to recontextualize their bodycams)
- He called his sergeant first, not 911, to report that his wife pointed a gun at him.
- He reiterated his version of events to investigating deputies and would not elaborate on the details.
- He sent a text to his wife that restated this narrative.
Pure DARVO. Unfortunately for him, there was forensic evidence, and it didn't match his story.
However, it might create enough reasonable doubt to convince the prosecutor that the case is unwinnable and maybe convince the OPA to issue "inconclusive" findings.
Seattle Police Officer Marlon Williams-Booth, a self-appointed "elite hero of downtown Seattle," used his FIFA training to subdue ... his wife.
He was arrested at the end of May.

@CaffeinateHawk@DivestSPD If that were true, it would say so in THE MEDICAL EXAMINER’S REPORT that declared this a homicide due to “prolonged restraint” you fucking illiterate goober.
A second cop shot a wall.
This time, it was a King County helicopter pilot. They gave him a pamphlet and told him not to do it again.

@marinerspain@DivestSPD Wait, do you think you’re on the left? You do, don’t you?
Also, do you think Andrea Suarez is helping to “clean up Seattle” by actively trying to shut down all shelter that isn’t a sober living facility in Yakima?
@marinerspain@DivestSPD Nearly everyone on the left (the anticapitalist left) hates or is extremely disappointed with Wilson and most progressives at least have “concerns”
@curmudgeon_x@DivestSPD A majority are (kettle, Saka, Hollingsworth, Rivera, Juarez). There are maybe three center left, and the person occupying one of the traditionally furthest left seats, Eddie Lin, was recently picking up trash with conservative Andrea Suarez. Hardly the Politburo.
June was a costly month for us.
We've been ramping up requests for bodycams all year, and now the bills are coming due. For a single request, the Seattle police is charging us $112 in redaction fees.

@WhidbeyRando@DivestSPD How so? Do you think making money is the point?
If you think doing something you believe in even at a loss is a “waste of time,” then you’ve never believed in anything and your life is a waste of existence.
@JoePowers33@DivestSPD There are only 30 fewer net officers than in 2022. Does “Econ 101” tell you that when the supply drops by a few percentage points and the demand drops (lower crime rate, fewer calls), the cost rises by 110%?
@OrionTanka0716@DivestSPD A few things, jagoff:
1. Seattle doesn't have a "DA." It has a City Attorney.
2. 75% of her job is representing the city in court
3. They prosecute misdemeanors and can only prosecute cases SPD brings them.
5. There have been exactly 6 prostitution arrests in 2026
