Andhra Pradesh alone: 27.9 lakh of India’s 46 lakh “volunteer teachers” - 60%+ from a single state

Madhya Pradesh: 93 lakh enrolled, nearly all “offline”.

West Bengal: 134 enrolled. Total.
Bihar, Telangana & WB conducted zero literacy tests.

Budget vs actually released (₹ cr):
22-23: 127 → 77
23-24: 157 → 39
24-25: 160 → 135

2025-26 has only ₹14 cr out (at the time of RTI). Releases swing from 25% to 84% of budget year to year.
