Loved being part of @TheOpEdProject’s “Write to Change the World” workshop back in February! So honored to have been asked to serve as an Alum Ambassador along with this wonderful group of storytellers and writers! 🤩🥳
WELCOME to our new Ambassadors! Thanks for joining us in this leadership role.

Prepping for my qualifying exam be like: 🫠🫠🫠🫠
The level of exhaustion is real and classes haven’t even started. I took a look at my syllabi and my brain felt like it was melting. Let Year 2 of #TheRoadToDrJuvi begin 🥹.
@dgcastelblanco@cientificolatin And it was @ErikMph who introduced me to the program! This journey isn’t easy, but I was fortunate to have had guidance and there was no better way to express my gratitude than by paying it forward!!! Aquí estamos, taking the world by storm 🙌🏽✨
Two things:
I’m deeply grateful I found a home with @lcph_apha. Their support during application season and my first year as a PhD student (which was tough but worth it) has been EVERYTHING!
@DrCynthiaLebron is truly a force. So honored to have her as a mentor 💥🤩!!
I’ve spent the last couple of days meeting with Latino public health folks including @jrfpsf @RabadanDiehl and @JRamirezValles rallying support for a big @lcph_apha project with @MurryMits @juvithinks @barbaquero @drjpam @MissDaniMPH and I’m just in awe.
Yesterday I had an uplifting conversation with a classmate who reminded me how harmful saying things like “I’m being lazy...” is to our emotional health. (1/6)
I’m understanding that, for me, generational healing needs to include eliminating the word “lazy” from my vocabulary. As my classmate reminded me, we hold ourselves to such incredibly high standards & in that process confuse things like rest with being unproductive. (5/6)
