ہمارا مان تھا کہ فوج ہم پہ گولی نہیں چلائے گی لیکن اسلام آباد کی سڑکوں پہ سینکڑوں لوگ بھون دیے گئے اور لاشیں تک غائب کردی گئیں.

#Germany's state-funded international broadcasting network Deutsche Welle (DW) has released an English-language documentary video titled “Pakistan — Nuclear Power at a Crossroad". It reviews in depth the multiple crises facing the country, including the massive growth of extremism, intolerance and violence; financial insolvency and lackluster economic performance; and political polarization, its most popular political leader in jail and its most popular party marginalized, a weak and corrupt political elite; and, the military having a stranglehold on politics.  The documentary does not propose a way out for #Pakistan,  but raises the alarm that these conditions can threaten the safety and security of its significant nuclear arsenal. I urge Pakistanis to watch, debate and discuss it.

Dear Pakistanis! Remember when Ishaq Dar married Marvi Memon and, using our tax money, looted funds to pay this woman one billion rupees as haq mehr (dower)?
Ishaq Dar, who has served as Finance Minister twice, has been laundering billions of rupees through these accounts and sending them to Dubai and London.
To strengthen their partnership in this corruption, the Sharif family and the Dar family tied the knot of kinship. In 2004, Ishaq Dar’s son married Nawaz Sharif’s daughter in Jeddah, at a time when Nawaz Sharif was living in exile there. Thanks to this alliance, Ishaq Dar and the Sharif family have continued to provide protection to each other in money laundering and corruption.
During his mere two terms as Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar and his family’s assets skyrocketed to 831 million rupees, showing a sudden 91% growth.
It is because of this looted money that Ishaq Dar owns 11 companies in Dubai’s free zones. One of them is HGS Estate Limited, which owns 52 villas in Dubai’s most expensive residential areas.
Ishaq Dar’s son, Ali Dar, also bought an extremely expensive mansion-like villa in Emirates Hills. Have the aware people of Pakistan ever asked the PML-N how Ali Dar managed to buy a villa in Emirates Hills ten years ago, when he was barely 20 years old at the time? The value of that mansion is now more than 40 million dirhams.
Ishaq Dar’s other son bought a plot worth more than 60 million dirhams in Sector L of Emirates Hills last year. Can the aware public tell us whether all this property was built on the salary of a chartered accountant? How many chartered accountants in Pakistan have children who own billions worth of properties in Dubai?
Ishaq Dar has two towers in Dubai worth 10 billion 210 crore rupees. In addition, millions of dirhams are flowing into his foreign accounts from Turkey, Switzerland, the UK, and Oman — meaning he has companies there too.
Ishaq Dar’s sons, Hussain Dar and Ali Dar, are also owners of HDS Group in Dubai. The group’s main business is real estate, but it also runs other businesses. The grandsons of Channan Din (known as “Bodi Cyclewala”) are running a rent-a-car business with the most expensive luxury cars — including Lamborghinis — using Pakistani money.
Here are some of Ishaq Dar’s 11 companies in Dubai:
• A company providing services for steel and new business setups
• Food and beverage company
• Business registration services and licensing for daily banking needs
• Personal customer relation services
• Personal grooming services
• Cleaning and concerts services companies (also owned by his sons)
In addition, HDS is a 39-storey commercial rental project completed in 2008, located inside Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT). It has three basements and 300 units, managed by HDS Owners Association Management Limited.
There is also HDS Business Centre, a 41-storey building in Jumeirah Lake Towers completed in 2011, with three basements and 250 units, of which 90% have already been sold.
Now PML-N supporters should reflect: How can a chartered accountant accumulate so much wealth that he successfully built three buildings in JLT?
There is also a 10-storey residential building named Sun Star with 120 apartments, located in Dubai’s CBD (International City), completed in 2012. It also has a health centre.
Then there is HDS Sun Star 2, one of the premium buildings in Dubai, with 140 apartments decorated with marble, grey night, and dark wood themes. It has a swimming pool and gymnasium on the top floor.
After that come Soba Ivory 1 and 2. Both buildings are in prime business areas of Dubai with easy access from Sheikh Zayed Road — the most important route for those doing business in Dubai. These 12-storey buildings (completed in 2009) have two basements and three podiums, with 110 units.
