It’s always heartwarming to be able to tell a patient that professional fees are waived because she’s the mother of a doctor. No fail they would always be surprised then grateful. Not entitled at all. I always say that’s your privilege. And I am always grateful for the trust. ♥️

It’s the little gestures. I disclosed cancer to a 75 year old. As I was discussing the treatment plan the husband reached out and fixed a strand of hair and lovingly looked at her with very sad eyes. Love is always amazing. She will be alright. He will be ok. All will be well.
One realization from the past few weeks: not everything you do will be counted or appreciated. So, a note to self—keep doing it for the passion, the commitment, and the values you believe in.
@jbesa27 For our students, we sent them a proper clay cervix and speculum, and a yellow sponge simulator for the Episiorrhaphy. We still had challenges though. Both faculty and students.
